▲ I was born in 1990 and grew up in Belgium in a small village near the France.
Throughout my childhood, I always kept a pencil in my hands. It was the very first way to express myself and I never stopped it. My first real experience with art was when I was 7 years old while traveling in Spain: I went to visit the houses as well as the Dali Museum. It was like a thunderbolt… I soon discovered the surrealist movement with artists such as Magritte, Ernst, Delvaux, Bosch, to name a few.
During my teens and while I was studying Fine Arts, photography became my main way of expression. I discovered photographers like Witkin, Tim Walker, Ian Ruhter, Kusterle, etc - and they definitely influenced my mind. Now, I can say that drawing and photography have created my graphic eye.
Music has an important place in my life too. I’m constantly looking for ways of expression which combine all my different passions. That’s why I enjoy working with bands, or taking pictures at concerts.
I could say that I’m into a visual universe, both dark & surreal, my photos are related to subjects such as rites & religions, celebrations, vivid as well as morbid and with the intrinsic power of symbols. With my pictures, I humbly aspire to evoke feelings that strike us in our existence: fear, shame, guilt, just as much as joy, grace and beauty. Being a model and a creator, I like staging and posing for self-portraits.
